Oil is the gold of Apulia, an ancient and precious food as the land from which it is produced. Oil, the fruit of a generous climate, but also the result of great work and dedication by those who, with love and respect, cultivate and care for these authentic monuments of nature. The Francia family continues with passion and dedication the family tradition, begun in the early 1900s and now reaching the fourth generation. A tradition handed down over the years, which nowadays respects the new generations as an ancient ritual, often following the same gestures, the same workings, the same attentions as once. Our olive oil is produced by our secular olive groves located in the Barletta area, and uses the PDO symbol ‘Terra di Bari’. The family farm is led by Grandma Rosa, generation 1928, who witnessed the generational passage of the ancient family tradition. Even today, everything takes place at the ancient family farm, a place that once was in ferment but now just a real symbol of the tradition and passion-keeper of a family that has crossed the times in the name of a genuine and generous territory. Today, the company presents itself as the natural evolution of those values: modern by design but still firmly rooted in that ancient way of making and conceiving the earth, a wealth to be protected before exploiting, a wealth that intends to ensure quality and respect. The Olio Francia brand was established in 2013 at the initiative of Nicola Francia, nephew of Mrs Rosa Picardi. In 2016, the company ‘Antichi Sapori di Puglia s.r.l.’ was established, all of which is a family-run-business, with the view distributing the oil produced by the farm.
